Wimmy Wham Wham Wozzle! It’s Slurm Time!
Back from the fantasy lands of Zelda and into the sci-fi universe of Futurama (with the flipping of fantasy to sci-fi, it’s starting to feel like split fiction in here). Have you accidentally cryogenically frozen yourself and woke up in the year 3000? Are you missing the taste of a delicious, sugary, additive beverage? Well, you may not be able to find coke anywhere, but there’s a new soft drink on the market and it is the delicious, green, gloop known as Slurm.
Fresh and Tasty Lon Lon Milk
From a galaxy far far away, back down to earth in another fantasy land comes the delicious beverage knowing as Lon Lon milk. This drink comes from the video game franchise The Legend of Zelda, with the first appearance being in The Ocarina of Time. Now, I can already hear you asking “Jade, isn’t Lon Lon milk just cow’s milk?” Well yes, but this recipe has a delicious twist on the typical cow’s milk, as Lon Lon milk is said to be very nutritious and even helps restore 5 hearts. So, get ready to have a big gulp before venturing on to see what my thoughts are on this recipe.
The Blue Milk of a Galaxy Far Far Away
After our little health kick last week in the far-off fantasy lands, we are now travelling the stars to a galaxy far far away to try the legendary Star Wars drink blue milk, as seen in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Blue milk is also known as Bantha milk, as it is produced by a female Bantha and like other animal-based milks, it is thought to be protein rich and nutrient dense. Get ready to pour yourself a jug full and find out if it will hold up as a tasty milk alternative or, will it be as ghastly as it looks?
New Year Health Kick - Red Potion!
For the start of Dry January, we are going to be using recipes from Cassandra Reeder book, The Geeky Chef Cookbook and focusing solely on non-alcoholic beverages and what better way to start off the new year, than a classic red potion, which has been used in a variety of videos games for over the past 30 years, with the most well known ones being The Legend of Zelda, World of Warcraft, The Witcher and Skyrim.
MissGamerNerd 2026 Update
Well, 2025 is over and it is the start of 2026 and I have a game plan for the year!
Welcoming in the Summer Solstice with Pierre’s Blueberry Tart
I am back with another Stardew Valley recipe and after my last recipe was made for celebrating the beginning of spring, it only seemed fitting to make another recipe for the Summer Solstice. No fancy intros this time but remember to get everything prepped before diving into my review on Pierre’s Blueberry Tart.
‘Minami Lane’ Review
I decided to treat myself to something in the steam sales and when I saw this game, I instantly wanted to play it. This game reminded me of a game I used to play on Games2Girls online, where you would manage a street to make money and complete objectives. I have absolutely yearned for a management sim like that for years, and this game has finally filled that hole in my heart.
A Winter’s Treat - Lemon and Poppyseed Muffins
I have an addiction, and that addiction is Stardew Valley. I love the game from the moment I started playing it and I can always find something to do every time I play it. For that reason, my partner decided to get me the Stardew Valley Cookbook for Christmas which I absolute adored the moment I saw it. It contains all the food recipes that you can find in the game, and I was eager to make something out of it. Que my colleague at work having a Spring fare at work, where people could bring in homemade goodies to share with people. Despite it being listed as a Spring fare, it was at the beginning of March, Spring technically hadn’t started so I thought I could easily get away with making this Winter dish. Remember to pre-heat that oven and read on to find out what I thought of the recipe.
‘112 Operator’ Review
I originally started playing this game in June 2023 and for whatever reason I stopped playing and moved onto other games. Well finally after one and a half years, I finished a full campaign and here are my thoughts on the game. Put on those blue lights and get ready to be dispatched into my review on 112 Operator and as always, spoilers ahead.
Animal Crossing - The Jump from Wild Worlds to New Horizons
I remember playing Animal Crossing Wild Worlds on the DS and I absolutely loved it. I would play it every day at different times in order to collect every bug and fish I could find, I spent fortunes on giving my money to Crazy Redd’s in the hopes of finding real artwork and experiencing actual heartbreak when my favourite villagers would leave. This is the Animal Crossing I look back on with rose tinted glasses and have fond memories off.
‘The Exit 8’ Review
The Exit 8 is the first walking sim horror game I have played, so I didn’t really know what I was going to happen, apart from obviously walking. The game takes place in a Japanese underground passageway, where the aim of the game is to escape the endless corridors by following instructions and observing your surroundings.
‘The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood’ Review
Some of you may or may not be aware of Witchcraft, what it entails and what it deals with. There are many different categories of witch and each deal with their own specialities such as herbs, crystals or even tarot with tarots being the most important one here, as this is what this game is based around. Proceed while cuddling your chosen familiar.
‘Space Invaders Gamer Gummies’ Review
Hey, remember that hit game from 1978 where you played as a moveable lasercannon and need to fight off waves off aliens? I have fond memories off playing this game in the past and I still enjoy playing space invaders today, so my eyes lit up when I saw these gamer gummies when on holiday in Rhodes.
Sonic Lip Balm Collection Review
There’s been a long hiatus but I am back and with another skincare giftset review from B&M’s, this time featuring the blue hedgehog himself, Sonic and his friends.
Super Mario Shower Gel Set Review
Been a while since I wrote a review on anything, but after seeing the Super Mario shower gel set on sale in B&M’s, I couldn’t help but buy it and try it out
‘A Little to the Left’ Review
Another cosy puzzle game featuring a cute animal? Don’t mind if I do! This time I am covering A Little to the Left which features a cute white cat that causes mild chaos throughout the game. Minor spoilers ahead, so go do that task you’ve been putting off for a week before continuing.
‘Feed All Monsters’ Review
Whenever you think of monsters, you normally think of huge, ferocious creatures that attack people and not necessarily cute, little balls of adorableness just looking for a little snackie, which is the aim of feed all monsters (wow, who would have seen that coming).
‘Gas Station Simulator’ Review
Have you ever wanted to quit your job and open your own little business, in the middle of nowhere away from the busy city life? Then this game is perfect for you tohelp live out your fantasy, by running a gas station called The Dust Bowl on sunny route 66.
Making Queen of Hearts Jam Tarts: A Valentines Special
It’s finally here! It’s the first recipe review of the website and what better occasion to do this than for Valentine’s Day and this recipe is perfect for sharing with those you love.
